About Soforon Foundation

The Soforon Foundation is a nonprofit organization with a focus on supporting the victims of the July 2024 Uprising in Bangladesh. This pivotal moment left many individuals injured, families bereaved, and a large youth population economically vulnerable. Soforon seeks to create a sustainable support ecosystem that addresses the immediate and long-term needs of these individuals, fostering resilience, dignity, and unity within affected communities. The aim of Soforon Foundation is to build a community by bringing together energetic and trailblazing youth of Bangladesh to work towards a vision of democratic, inclusive, and prosperous Bangladesh.

Why we exist?

Bangladesh’s history is marked by cycles of unrest, leaving marginalized groups, especially youth, trapped in cycles of loss and disenfranchisement. Soforon aims to disrupt this pattern by turning victims into leaders and crisis into opportunity, ensuring that those affected by upheaval are not passive recipients of aid but architects of their futures.
